Underneath
UNDERNEATH - The podcast where we bring forward what is usually hidden and unseen. These are slowed down, sensation-based conversations, stripped of most conceptual content, for those who yearn for less story and more awareness of what we often cover underneath our talking and underneath our polished, ordered surface.

The quote "The fact that we lack the language skills to communicate with nature does not impugn the concept that nature's intelligent; it speak to our inadequacy for communication" at the end of each episode is a quote by Paul Stamets from the documentary Fantastic Fungi.

Connecting with other people, and feeling internal sensations at the same time (with Maira Jorba)
In today’s episode I talk to Maira Jorba about how sensation-based conversations, conversations where we allow for silence and where we become aware of and speak into sensations and thoughts that we usually suppress, support us into a more grounded state. And how in this grounded state we feel more settled into our back body instead of being more outward and forward focused as we can tend to be when we are in a more conventional type of conversation. Memories of school come up, where this way of relating did not feel safe to us.
Another thing that comes up is how making space for silence in a conversation allows for time and space to feel bodily sensations. And how those internal sensations come with important messages about how to relate with the world.
We also become aware of how, on a personal level, recording these podcast episodes is a way for us to practice and, for ourselves, normalize being in the world and connecting with other people, and feeling internal sensations at the same time. We also speak into how exciting it feels to us to see what comes through us and the present moment when we don’t have a predetermined agenda and when we record with the intention of sharing that recording in a public place.
